Khao Hin Lek Fai Viewpoint
A hilltop viewpoint close to central Hua Hin with panoramic views of the resort and coast. The gardens also contain a statue of King Prajadhipok, and macaques live around the rocks and trees. Admission is free and the viewpoint is open at all times.
Monkey Mountain
Khao Takiab is known for its golden Buddha, Wat Khao Lad temple and resident macaques. Steps lead up from the beach, and the surrounding restaurants offer views along the Hua Hin coastline. Late afternoon is the most comfortable time to visit.
Vana Nava Water Jungle
A water park for children and adults with slides, a children’s water castle, a toddler pool and several food outlets. It is normally open daily from 11:00 to 17:00.
Hua Hin Artists Village
A relaxed arts centre with paintings, sculptures, antiques, workshops, a café and a pond. Works may be photographed and purchased. It is open Tuesday to Sunday, usually from 10:00 to 17:00.
Monsoon Valley Vineyards
About 45 minutes from Hua Hin, this vineyard offers wine tastings, a restaurant, guided vineyard tours, cycling and views across the surrounding countryside. It is normally open daily from 09:00 to 18:00.
Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park
A national park south of Hua Hin with limestone caves, wetlands, beaches and mangroves. Its best-known site is Phraya Nakhon Cave and the royal pavilion beneath the open cave roof. Take water, sun protection and sturdy shoes.
Mrigadayavan Palace
King Rama VI’s elegant seaside summer palace in Cha-Am, built in 1923. Its raised wooden pavilions and covered walkways offer a glimpse into royal life in the early twentieth century. Visitors should cover shoulders and knees.
Pa La-U Waterfall
A fifteen-tier waterfall in dense jungle west of Hua Hin, inside Kaeng Krachan National Park. It is popular for walking, wildlife watching and swimming in natural pools. Sturdy footwear is recommended.
Beaches
Khao Takiab Beach
A clean beach south of the city with a gentle sea entry, restaurants, loungers, massages and water-sports rentals. It is suitable for families. Loungers and restaurants are usually unavailable on Wednesdays during beach cleaning.
Hua Hin Beach
A long white-sand city beach with a gradual sea entry. Depending on conditions, visitors can swim, ride horses, dive or kiteboard. Much of the beach has no loungers, so bring a towel or your own seating.
Sai Noi Beach
A quieter beach about 16 km south of central Hua Hin, surrounded by rocky hills. Food stalls, a restaurant and rental loungers are available, and a path leads towards the golden Buddha and viewpoint above Khao Tao.
